50 Seats for the inaugural Black Belt Nottingham Live

The fashion for modern day poker festivals has been low entry events with players embracing a deep structure and a chance to turn a small investment into a sumptuous payday.

The Black Belt Nottingham Live has proved no exception as players sold out Day 1B a week prior to kick-off, and are on the verge of snapping up the remaining Day 1A seats.

As a result of the demand, Black Belt Poker, in accordance with Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club, have decided to open up another 50 seats, with 25 added to each starting day.

If you’ve been holding back before registering, or were simply unable to make Day 1A, then now is your chance to participate in the most fun-filled, affordable event of the year. But don’t delay, as seats are sure to sell quicker than a Neil Channing signed photo.

Registration is available exclusively through the poker client via Scheduled > Black Belt Tournaments > Nottingham Live Day1A/1B. If you don’t yet have an account, then simply click here to download the software and follow the step-by-step process provided.

The Nottingham Live commences on Thursday, November 18, and is a three-day $125+15 No Limit Hold’em event in which 450 players will battle it out over a now $56,250 prize pool. There will also be mouth-watering bonuses with a potential $250 per bounty and up to 20 percent added to all cash prizes.

If you suffer an early crash in the Main Event, then don’t fret as there are plenty of side events available to suit all bankroll sizes, including a £15+5 freezeout on Friday and a £1,000+90 six-max High-Roller event the following evening. DTD are even holding a £100+12 mega satellite into the High-Roller with an incredible five seats guaranted. There will also be SNGs and cash games available throughout the three days.

“All In” for Kids Poker Tournament Raises More Than $800,000 for Childhood Cancer Research

With support from 11-time World Series of Poker Bracelet Winner Phil Hellmuth, the “All In” for Kids Poker Tournament raised $800,000 to benefit the Center for Childhood Cancer Research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Held at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City, the winner of the “All In” for Kids Poker Tournament was Daniel Roitman of New York City.

The Center for Childhood Cancer Research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the largest and most renowned pediatric cancer research programs in the nation, impacting children from all over the world. The honorary chairs for this year’s “All In” for Kids Poker Tournament are Kristen and Richard Gillette who founded The Kortney Rose Foundation in memory of their daughter. The Kortney Rose Foundation helps support the search for genetic causes of pediatric brain tumors, and has partnered with The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to advance research within the CCCR’s Brain Tumor Program, which sees more than 200 patients each year and is one of the largest childhood brain tumor research and treatment centers in the United States.

The event, co-founded by Beth Shak and Dan Shak, brings together celebrities, athletes and professional poker players with Hospital Trustees, doctors, donors and grateful patient families for the event.

Make sure to read the tournament description for all the details for that event and prize.
Stage satellites

Stage satellites offer a route to the highest stake events for the smallest risk. Most of these satellites come in three stages. Join the race for a seat at any point along the chain and at a stake to suit your bankroll! Lottery and One-Hand satellites

These tournament types involve a lot of luck and no skill. These fast-paced qualifiers are perfect when time is short and so is your bankroll.

Look out for lottery tournaments in the multi-table tournament lobby in the hour before your big nightly event starts. These heads-up, multi-table tournaments are pure luck, but a lot of fun. Every player is all-in every hand, so you can either register, switch off and ignore the game, or watch it all and agonise over things outside of your control.

One-hand satellites are played in the Sit & Go lobby. These events involve a full six or ten-seat table of players. Every player is all-in every hand until one winner is left standing.

Points satellites
PKR Points you have accumulated can be used to enter PKR Point satellites where players compete for Premium freeroll tickets with a value between 500 and 25,000 PP’s that enable players to take part in freerolls with prize pools from $100 to $1,000!!!

Add On For Autism Inaugural Charity Poker Tournament

The inaugural Add On for Autism Charity Poker Tournament to benefit Andra’s Hand Foundation, an organization whose mission is to increase knowledge and public awareness about Autism in South Florida, will take place October 26 at 7:30 p.m. in The Poker Room at Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Co-hosted by poker professional Todd Brunson, the tournament will offer a $10,000 top prize and a $1,500 invitation to the World Poker Boot Camp, among other awards.

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects an untold number of Americans. According to the Autism Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network of which the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and several states including Florida is a part of, it is estimated that between 1 in 80 and 1 in 240 with an average of 1 in 110 children in the United States have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASDs are reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups, yet are on average 4 to 5 times more likely to occur in boys than in girls.

“We are thrilled that The Poker Room at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has graciously agreed to host our very first poker tournament,” said Eric Lazarus, chairman of Andra’s Hand Foundation. “Our goal is to share resources regarding these developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges in children and to provide financial assistance to South Florida families in need. We expect to draw more than150 participants to this first class venue in support of this crucial effort.”

Along with the $10,000* grand prize, the player who knocks co-host and poker ace Todd Brunson out of the Texas Hold ‘em tournament will receive an invitation to the two-day World Poker Tour Boot Camp valued at $1,500. The last woman standing gets a High Heel Poker Tour gift basket. Additional prizes will be awarded. All players will get an autograph and a photo with Brunson.

A $150 buy-in donation will secure a seat in the tournament. During play, there will be an optional re-buy structure for the first three levels with re-buys of $25 and a $50 add-on.
